Economical nylon gears are available in spur gears with hub, miter gears, bevel gears, sprockets and racks.

Gears are available in module 1 to 4 and diameters up to 200 millimeters. Gears are typically produced using nylon 6 with 25 percent glass fibers added that results in a tough and wear resistant gear. Single impression molds with circular injection are used which allows the materials to be distributed uniformly creating a quality gear. The material and process creates a dimensionally stable gear with excellent power transmission abilities.

Advantages of plastic gears include light weight, lubrication absence, and resistance to most chemical agents.
